Natural aloe-vera being alkaline helps in neutralizing the acidic condition from the eyes. One may also use natural aloe-vera gel instead of liquid.

Essential Fatty Acids
Use omega 3 oil, primrose or flaxseed oil to include essential fatty acids requirement of the body. These essential fatty acids retain the lubrication of the mucus membranes from the eyes, thereby decreasing drying of eyes.

Add small areas of salmon, herring, sardine or other fatty fish towards the weekly diet. Omega 3 essential fatty acids help to reduce ocular burning, inflammation and redness leading to dry eye syndrome.

Sea Buckthorn Oil
Sea buckthorn oil is an excellent source of alpha linoleic and alpha linolenic acid, the 2 important essential fatty acids. The anti-inflammatory properties of buckthorn oil reduce dry eye symptoms and it is anti-oxidant property, protects the eye surface from getting damaged.

Intake More Quantity of Water
Mild dehydration may worsen the dry eye situation, especially during windy, dry and warm weather. Drinking more water indicates to significantly improve the condition of dry eyes.

Use Warm Compresses
